Our work

The In Situ Subgroup of the IUCN SSC Orchid Specialist Group supports the conservation of orchids in their natural habitats. Our work follows the Species Conservation Cycle by helping to Assess orchid conservation status, Plan priorities and strategies, Act through practical conservation support, strengthen the Network of orchid experts and partners, and improve Communication about the importance of orchid conservation.

Together, these areas help connect knowledge, people, and action to support the long-term survival of orchid species and the ecosystems they depend on.
